Best Show 08':  May the Gavels Start Flying

or something to do with Tom's mighty gavels of fed-up-with-it-judgement being being hurled through the air, smiting all of the week's substandard pop-culture garbage.  In fact --I just realized that Tom is like the Bizzarro Paul F. Tompkins, also dissecting the week's pop culture, but with much more of an out for blood mentality...  and when the two forces are combined during a PFT in studio session...  a force to be reckoned with indeed.

A simple one:

Best Show 2008: Good Guys Win.

And some others:

Best Show 2008: Shut yer gob, 'cause it's Tom's turn to talk now!
Best Show 2008: Down the road of 'I can't stand it'.
Best Show 2008: Putting topics on the table.
Best Show 2008: You won't like it....YOU'LL LOVE IT!
Best Show 2008: A smaller fish in a bigger pond.

Of all the ones put forth so far, 'Tom v. Everyone' is still my favorite. 'Clowntime is Over' is a very close second.

ditto...tom v. everyone wins my heart.

but all of these (including clowntime is over) are a close second.

I like "Clowntime is Over" too.

What about "2008: Rise Above."

I can't believe it took me this long:

I'd like to see this win just to hear the ensuing Gene Simmons call.
I'll probably go into the wee hours.

If Tom v. Everyone is a hit, how about a slight tweak that implies Tom is willing to take on anything, not just any one: Tom v. [the sideways 8 inifinity symbol]. Also implies Tom's disdain for corporate radio.

Yay? Nay?

You can't say a symbol, though. It'll be like when Prince went from "Prince" to "fancy-pants symbol no one can pronounce"

If it weren't a radioshow, I'd say that would work though. It's a neat idea.

Tom Vs Everyone seems to be the strongest...

I stand by my more populist offering. Tom V. Everyone is a little frightening.

My vote is for "Clowntime is Over"

I buy Erica's rationale about the infinity symbol. So how about:

The Best Show: The Best Show
