Oh, I don't have any inside information. But from the thread on AST, theres a few pages of people saying "I signed up!" So I imagine it's going well so far.

I suspect they'll lose about half of their listenership, but the other half paying $20 is pretty good money.

I don't see them getting half their listenership.  I could see half of their hardcore fans but what they're  doing will turn of the casual fan.

although, it will be interesting to see.  I don't like the implications if the succeed. but, I like free shit.

I imagine they'll lose more like 75-90% of their current listenership. Jesse Thorn said that about 1% of his podcast listeners donate anything.
