My favorite parallel between McNulty and Kima is McNulty confidently advising her this season to buy Ikea furniture for her kid. Back in season #1, that didn't work out so well for him with a drunken attempt at an Ikea bunk bed. Maybe that's why she turned him in.
I look forward to getting the DVD box, too, and rewatching in all its glory. This season has been a little disappointing but I think it could only go one way after the great No Corner Left Behind season. Another think I like about the DVDs is the closed captioning. Marlo is not the easiest guy to understand, especially since I have to keep the TV volume down.
