since LA is on fire yet again, here's an oldie.
On my last day of work at a certain reality show featuring a British nanny in '07, we spent the afternoon watching a fire coming over the hill across the street from our offices.

these are my FIRE '07 pics:









taken while driving, those were from september 2007, but the fire was literally on the other side.  i would have taken photos of the flames, not just smoke, but i stood watching it for a while with everyone else who had pulled over.  a white truck pulled up behind me when i pulled over (which made me nervous) and when i was tired of looking at the fire, i brought the camera to my face, and  a voice from the white truck says,

"PLEASE GET BACK IN YOUR CAR!...NOW!"

what an ass.

Bethany Oklahoma about a week ago.  About once a year we get a huge influx of birds in the outskirts of town.  I would think they were migrating, but it seems a little early?  Anyway, it's always creepy.
