Great pic. Also, I think our kids are related.

What are the odds?!

The odds are pretty good, I'd say.

A block from my hotel in New Orleans.

Is that the bar that used to be the El Matador, before Harry Anderson bought it and made it into a "magic" theme-bar?

Ted Leo on stage at Coney Island during the last Siren Festival I ever went to. I like to think of it as the last one that mattered.

Around noon today I heard some commotion in my back yard, someone yelling, hints of a fight of some kind. So I looked out the window and saw these guys entering the door from across the yard.

They were not alone.

Swedish cops usually don't carry heavy firearms, unless they really mean business. These guys brought dogs, shields, sub machine guns, the works.

When I looked out the window in my kitchen, this was the scene. They'd shut down my part of the street. There were at least ten cops. Seven cars.

Seems like some shady characters caused a ruckus either in an apartment or just outside of it, someone called the cops, who probably were on edge because either a) they knew the perps and/or apartment from before, or b) they were ready for anything after a guy got shot not far from here yesterday. Maybe they thought the incidents were related somehow, and sent the cavalry to be on the safe side. Ultimately, it didn't amount to much - they questioned the two shady guys out in the street, busted them for some drug-related stuff, and took off.

I just hope it was a random thing by a couple of dopeheads, and not something related to someone who lives here. This is a really decent neigborhood, and I'd like to keep this house safe and sound, thankyouverymuch.

The End.

The End.

I read this as a confession.
I really don't appreciate your sarcastic, anti-comedy tone, Bro!

Maybe I should've ended it with "The End?".

I wonder what The Black Room is like.  My guess:  lonely, musky.
