Two cats in NJ looking for a home
« on: April 14, 2008, 09:31:39 PM »
Hey cat lovers et al,

Hope its ok to post another one of these.

My friend Mary has two cats looking for a home. If interested, let me know. Here is her message:

I am writing on behalf of two cats who are looking for homes. They have lived happily with my mother for a good number of years, but, now that she is having to move where she cannot bring them, they are finding themselves in the lurch.

Don’t leave these cats to the doom of a shelter! They are wonderful, loving little buddies who live joyously and love passionately!

Please, spread the word far and wide. Harass, badger, & manipulate! No, be kind…but please, do what you can to tell all who could care about their plight!

Thank you for all you do!

~Mary

Ipkis
Gender: Male
Colors: Orange
Born: Late Spring/Early Summer 2003
Literary Parallel: Gilbert Blythe of Anne of Green Gables etc. by L. M.
Montgomery
Bio: An affectionate orange striper of golden eyes! Found in a dumpster in
Ocean City, NJ, Ipkis has been an indoor cat since his adoption at
kittenhood. He loves to sleep wherever you are & has no interest in trying
to get out (Yay! No fighting at the door!). He’s neutered, has always
lived with multiple other cats, &, though he’s a little shy of strangers,
has no qualms about coming to demand some love from his family! Like
Gilbert Blythe, his love is deep rooted and unwavering.

Winter
Gender: Male
Colors: Grey & White
Born: Late Spring 2004
Literary Parallel: Fitzwilliam Darcy of Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen
Bio: With feet that look as though they’ve been dipped in snow, Winter has
always lived with other cats, showing himself to be a good natured loner.
He has gone from meek kitten to strong, independent he-cat! This is not to
say he is aloof – this feline is quite the lover! He is a (happily) indoor
cat, & is neutered and affectionate. Like Fitzwilliam Darcy, once you know
each other you’ll come to understand the depth of his understated
affections.

Aw man. If I didn't have two already, I would take those boys in a heartbeat.
Cat versions of Mr. Darcy and Gilbert Blythe?

It tugs at my heartstrings so.

Good luck to your friend, Emily. As far as I know, I don't think the FOT forum has ever let a kitty go unadopted. :)

I don't know which is scarier: winter, or the hand that grips him.

I think Winter's feet are the scariest of all.

Note to prospective adopters: That's not really Winter!
