If it's not, it's hilarious.  If it is, it's hilarious and absolutely brilliant. From Defamer.

Personally, I have to say "hoax."  Maybe this guy could be from Juiliard and maybe he could be that retarded but for me that line about Kubrick not being as good as Michael Curtiz is a tip-off.

Also, now I can see why the Gorch is such a big "Outsiders" fan.

This is mos def NOT a hoax...don't any of you have 'actor-friends'? They're the worst, esp. in groups of more than one.

Brian's eyes are truly frightening.

If it's real, this guy was guilty of a 412.

I had to look up 412.  Sarah, do you mean copyright infringement?

Anyway, I vote for hoax.  Can anyone stand to be around someone that pompous for more than a couple of minutes?

Here is the guy's 1975-1976 class picture:

I also heard that a former Kubrick collaborator has said that it looks pretty authentic to him based on the stuff they were getting at the time.

and I vote real.  I think the "second best director" thing was trying to show that he knows something and is not a yes man, like Kubrick might say "this kid's got balls, I like that".

I woke up this morning with a cat sitting on my stomach and staring me down. I stared right back and said, "Good day, Mr. Cue-brick." He meowed and started purring. My cat is Mr. Cuebrick, reincarnated.

A 412 is overacting.  It's from an old Stan Freberg bit, "St. George and the Dragonet," that my eldest sister and I used to perform verbatim back when I was wee (I was the dragon).

I vote real, by the way.  And bad.

I vote fake.
Also, I went to Stanley Kubricks house a couple of times but I don't have time to tell the story now.

This story has inspired me to collect reminscences from people around the country about how this video has affected their lives.*  I'll be like the Studs Terkel of this one thing.**

I love it!!  Then you could write a tome containing your interviews, just like Studs, and it would be witty and great, and would be sold on the "Who Knew?" table at Barnes & Noble, except that it would have no relevance to much of anything in the world.  But i still love the idea somehow.  I guess you have better things to do with your time, Chris L, for which I commend you.
