deodorant options...
« on: June 08, 2008, 02:35:11 PM »
I need a new deodorant.  I have to go outside for work and it gets unbearably hot.  Then I come back in and have to work at a desk, so not wearing deodorant is not an option.

I was using the prescription strength deodorant, but it's like $9/stick.  Now I'm using mitchum and it seems to work ok, but it ruins my undershirts like nothing else.

Any other options out there?  I don't sweat a ton, and I'm looking to kill the smell, not necessarily the sweat.
Breakfast- I'm havin' a time
Wheelies- I'm havin' a time
Headlocks- I'm havin' a time
Drunk Tank- not so much a time
George St.- I'm havin' a time
Brenda- I'm havin' a time
Bingo- I'm havin' a time
House Arrest- I'm still havin' a time

I use Tom's of Maine because it's aluminum free and will not give me Old Timer's disease.

I use this solely because of the name.  I'd be thrilled if they came out with one called "Oates" (after Warren, but I'll accept John as well).

You guys should probably use Axe, I hear it drives the ladies wild.

I used Tom's until I had to face the fact that it doesn't actually work.  Stinking vs. Alzheimer's is a terrible choice, but as usual I decided to fuck my future self over.
Oh, good heavens. I didn’t realize. I send my condolences out to the rest of the O’Connor family.

One of my friend's favorite sayings is, "Fuck Future Me."  That guy always has it coming, though - you do all the work, and he reaps all the glory.

Andy, I like "Old Spice Sport."  A good deodorant - stay away from the antiperspirants, unless you like that chalky feeling.
I really don't appreciate your sarcastic, anti-comedy tone, Bro!

I enjoy this. But I'm a lady. And you're not a lady.

So I guess I'm not being very helpful here.

Dove classic unisex over here. Also, shave your armpits. (Don't judge.)

Yes!  I tried it and ran screaming back to Speed Stick Regular! I was so taken by the awesomeness of their toothpaste that I went too far.

Anyway, speed stick regular is a smell that my fianceé associated with me, and which, creepily, a girl-friend of mine correctly identified as also being the same deodorant her boyfriend uses.  That same girl-friend also had to force her previous boyfriend to stop using Tom's.

I can't use Speed Stick or the like because they make me itch and break out. I use Burt's Bees stuff now and it works fine. It won't help if you're a heavy sweater, but you said that's not a problem. Smells good, all-natural, blah blah blah. It's a spray-on in case that makes a difference.

I'll probably go into the wee hours.

Oh yeah.  I think you should just wear patchouli and use one of those bullshit crystal things.

I find it disturbing that so many people are using Tom's deodorant.

I bet he does, too.  His radio persona, at least, seems quite fastidious.  But then does a radio persona even need deodorant?

I use Hippy Johnny's Farm Fresh Deodorant.  And motor oil.
