This morning I was giving a test, and passing the time catching up with the 7 Second Delay archives. It was from 3-4 weeks back, and Ken was holding on-air auditions for actual slots on the FMU Fall schedule.

At some point Ken challenges Andy to name any current shows, and he says something like "My friend Tom has a show, and his wife Terri has a show..."!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, unfortunately, with its massive budget (sound machines, all the guests' travel, Tom's bloated benefits package) the Best Show is a tremendous cost center - albeit a hugely ratings-successful one.  Because Tom won't allow commercials.

But Buffcoat, you're missing the revenue stream from product placements.  According to their latest Form 10-Q, TBSOWFMU and Sharpling, Inc. brought in more than $256,714 last quarter from on-air product placements.  These kinds of advertisers include a flea market in Eatontown, 20th Century Fox (Speed Racer), Marky Ramone Inc., and Benny Tudino's, to name a few.  Gene Simmons is listed as an account receivable -- deadbeat.
