Wyclef hasn't done much good since the Fugees.
Fixed.
Wyclef is one of the worst rappers ever. You, Trembling Eagle, have not a leg to stand on.
thats laughable
I'm not sure if I'm talking to a rap fan here, and I hate to assume and judge
but your comment leads me to believe you don't know much about rap.
If you're one of the fans of Wayne then go look at the song he did with Clef and compare that to the versions Clef reworked live
and learn something.
If you guys want to support people based on fashionability and hipness at least admit it like Ian did.
~~Edit
I guess I don't hate to judge THAT much
lol
What is your basis for claiming that Wyclef is a great rapper? I can't really say I've heard enough from him to declare him one of the worst, but I certainly have never been all that impressed with him. Also, just from various sources over the years, it seems that the general consensus on him is that he's a terrible rapper; I really can't think of anyone critically defeding him this decade.
I never said he was great, personally I think he's a very decent technical rapper but shines especially with his talent in composing songs and beats and is very proficient on the the guitar and keyboards which leads to him doing a live show which is more than 10 dudes screaming with a DAT tape backing.
If we're talking artistry and musicianship and craftsmanship when it applies to rap or pop rap music
I think that puts him heads and shoulders above lil Wayne.
I'm not even the worlds biggest Wyclef fan I just felt it was fairer comparison for me to make to the Wayne fans since they are similar vein of the pop rap world, I can see the argument someone might make that a Doom or Paul Barman are are almost in a different subgenre AND THEY DID SONG together so its really simple for us to compare and contrast
