She is arguably the best female singer/songwriter out there now. Truly mesmerizing vocals.

Every song on that album is so, so great. "Thrice All American" is my favorite song on it, I think.

True story about death of a fellow of hers if I recall correctly (who knows).  Saw her on this tour at least once.  Highlights being 1)meeting her drummer, Joel Trueblood (of Untamed Youth "fame") who, after I introduced myself as being from Columbia, MO and an Untamed Youth fan bought me a beer and brought me backstage to shoot the breeze and 2) Nico lifting her dress as was her wont in those days. What?
I remember she had a huge bandage on her hand and said she'd cut herself at work and the travesty I thought it was that such a talent had to work at a job handling sharp implements.

Tom set up the best birthday ever for him, really put a lot into it, and he was late and didn't seem any more excited than usual.  Couldn't believe that.
