I'm digesting Miles Ahead right now. If you remember, I am the dude that started the jazz recommendation thread. This one is at the top of my wanted vinyl list:

For the past week or so, I've been rotating between Monica's 2011 marathon premium, Washed Out's Life of Leisure, and black metal. I think this means I'm in a bad place.
I'll probably go into the wee hours.

It's a very pretty, very accessible Miles record, Paul. Big thumbs up.

"Airwaves" by Kraftwerk.  Before that, it was the new Balam Acab record -- early morning tomorrow.

This is a great, great album that I considered recommending when you opened that thread but thought it might be a little out there.  It may also be the only album ever released by a name artist with liner notes by the artist's psychiatrist.

I've had the opening chunk of "Fables of Faubus" running trough my head for the last few days...

Better or worse than an album produced by the artist's therapist?

Well, less exploitative.

"Unentitled" by Slim Cessna's Auto Club...
How is it? I have every album through "Cipher" (I even found a copy of The Blackstone Valley Sinners album, which was my gateway into SCAC). I've fallen off the wagon, because they hadn't played in RI in such a long time and when they did recently I was too sick to go. They are one of my favorite live acts.
