There are no rules, Fredericks, except for this one; you should always agree with your more weathered elders.

At the moment I am listening to the 7th in that fantastic series. It covers 1974-1983, and can be accessed here

http://open.spotify.com/user/davefromknoxville/playlist/47uD0yao0nuXgvfpEjyiyF

It contains these songs, some of which Fredericks may claim are not PROG. But he's wrong.

Yes – Changes
Can – Dizzy Dizzy
Medina Azahara – Busco
Goblin – Suspiria - Originale
Rush – Subdivisions
Rick Wakeman – White Rock
Camel – Another Night
Styx – Boat On The River
Genesis – Ripples
Kayak – Ruthless Queen
Marillion – He Knows You Know - 1997 Digital Remaster
Mike Oldfield – Tubular Bells Part Two
Azahar – La naranja y el limon

Procol Harum – Nothing But The Truth
Pink Floyd – Money - 2011 - Remaster
PFM Premiata Forneria Marconi – Dolcissima Maria - remastered 2007

I just listened to Traffic's Heaven Is In Your Mind.

When Dave Mason was is the band they were rather proggy.

Doug Yule said Sterling Morrison played like Mickey Baker so I had to find out who Mickey Baker was.

Mickey & Sylvia - Dearest
I was reading Sylvia Robinson's obituary this morning.

I'm listening to "The Velvet Underground & Nico" straight through for the first time in over 10 years.  Just flowing over me like the first time.

I'm at the end of "All Tomorrow's Parties" right now.

I realize that it's probably sacrilege to say this, but I think that album would be a million times better sans Nico. I think she's the main reason why I don't think all that highly of that record.

I guess icy, Teutonic vocals really don't do it for me.

I made it through "I'm Set Free" on the 3rd.

Aw c'mon, it's Nico. She's so sad. I'd really rather her sing "I'll Be Your Mirror" than Lou.

This past week of melancholy, DFK and all his prog playlists, and the impending arrival of my copy of "The Road To Red"...
