and the start of Tom's Zappa hating.  remember the show (maybe its this one) where durring the show he keeps asking Mike Lupica to call the station and give him permission to destroy all the Zappa in the library.   

this is has to be one of the Best, Best Shows.  in my top ten atleast.

It's archived, but it was sandwiched behind a bunch of copies of The Carter III, so that's probably why you didnt find it.

I always love the classic podcasts.

It's interesting to hear what's changed (callers talking to Augie Richards, Tom's ignorance of Newbridge) and what's the same (Newbridge itself, Tom hating things, etc.).

This was a particularly great episode, I must say. When 'batter butler' became 'butter battle', I laughed.

This episode also seems to mark the dawn of GOMP's, and perhaps PD.  I also get a kick out of the way email is still sort of novel technology.

I'm completely with you.  Tom's rant sounded like it was an abbreviated version of something.  I hope he doesn't believe any of that--even though it was soo long ago.

I always thought the Kurt Cobain murder conspiracy was one of the weakest ever, and really mean spirited. Until there is at least a shred of tangible evidence, you don't go accusing someone of shooting the father of their child in the face.
