Shoes - Black Vinyl Shoes

They never actually came to anything resembling prominence, but they made some (to me) fantastic home-recorded power pop that sounds unlike most anything recorded in 1977.

Boston's eponymous album springs to mind. I don't think I've ever heard any of those songs on the radio.
