um... i think you said that to someone else, actually. so... you're not only willfully losing the battle against full blown alcoholism - you may be senile as well.

translation: you may just be the candidate of my dreams.

I very well may have since there are far too many shoeshiners in Newbridge to my taste.

Anyway, I'm glad to hear the worm is turning (that's a good thing, right?).
See God, Kai

I'VE GOT A BIG PROBLEM WITH ALL OF MIKE'S POSTS ON THIS BOARD.  WHERE'S THE EQUAL TIME FOR THE OTHER CANDIDATES? THAT'S MANDATED BY NEWBRIDGE LAW - I THINK.

Come on, Mike is actually showing restraint. Contrast it with the horrible, filthy rants McCain has been posting on the Something Awful forums.

McCain does have a bit of a filthmouth problem:

(Trying not to embed the video, in the interest of politeness. This is the only way I could figure out how to do that).

I am curious as to the overall total.

Some days Mike is winning, other days belong to Philly Boy Roy or Pudge.  But whether I know for certain if my candidate(s) are ahead, I will continue in the true Chicago tradition:  Vote Early, Vote Often.

I think this is all related to phases of the moon and stars. Which candidate has the best astrological advisor?

Bob does. He gains all of his advice though Madam Ferrara, one of the most respected Palm Readers, astrologers and diviners of Olive Tea in all of Western NJ.

She was worked closely with The Newbridge PD to apprehend some of the most heinous criminals to ever besmirtch the Police Blotters. Remember when Billie Trombler was blocking up the city sewers with all that hair? Who do you think connected it to all the barber-shop break-ins. M Ferrara, that's who.

She is a step above the rest. From the imported headscarves to the brass plaque in front of her office which reads...

Madam Ferrara, Palmoliver

Vote Bob, and know that the future is within sight.

Thanks for the support Pat K, CurtBlair, and tomkaters (and Julie, I think). I'm feeling a real groundswell now (that's a good thing, right?).

I ran into Danny Aiello yesterday at Tutta Pasta and I got him to vote for me (one of his hangers-on had a laptop). Unfortunately, he turned down Tom's request to be on the show when I couldn't produce a business card.

For a second I thought you were Mike (avatar similarity) and was really confused.

Don't look now, but here come Zachary Brimstead.

Can't you smell the sweat?
I really don't appreciate your sarcastic, anti-comedy tone, Bro!

Let's also remember that A.P. Mike is the only candidate known to have watched the entire run of The Wire, and though he did not believe it to be one of the finest shows of all time (which I believe he is mistaken about, but this is a matter where civilized people can disagree), seasons 3-5 showed him about the pitfalls and ethical compromises of being a pro-reform mayor. Knowing all the dangers, he will be prepared to avoid them.

Then again, the portrayal of Det. McNulty's self-destructive alcoholism didn't scare Mike off the bottle, so maybe not.

NEVERTHELESS, VOTE A.P. MIKE 2008!

In my mind, Pudge remains a strong contender for mayor, but I just don't trust him not to abdicate the office on the first day -- likely midway through his inaugural address.

As the Republicans successfully argued in '00 and '04, confidence and steadfastness are far more important in an executive than "intelligence." And how right they were!

BTW, not too long ago my girlfriend actually saw a car with a bumper sticker that said "I don't know Butchie instead." Mike, as mayor, would you be willing to decree that all Newbridge drivers acquire and display this bumper sticker?

There will be a place for you in my administration for your steadfast campaigning, CurtBlair. Manus manum lavat! (That's Latin, Hammerhead, you dunce!).

No go on the John from Cincinnati homage bumper stickers, CB. That show's dead to me.
