sleepy jeff has to be up there...

My vote would go for Jeep Grand Cherokee Wilson from the same show. I love his strange, grammatically incorect concern over Barry Bond's career.

Also:

-The Cougar from Pout and his beautiful, drunken rendition of "Stand By Me"
-Al Green fan- "Sometimes she peels the sweatpants off of me"
-Gary Puckett fan an his deviant car fetish

The Cougar is an underrated gem.  What other show would do a 45-minute spoof on Peter Criss?

Jonny W. has a special kinship with drummers - I can't entirely explain it.

Troy Dershman was a good call.  He only called once, right?

Twice
The main, long call.
And the 'Pantyboys' call - Oct 10, 2006
"Son, there's a thin line between crazed and rabid"

Rick the soaker!!!

My first TBSOWFMU!  I didn't know anything about the show or JW... I couldn't believe that just a regular listener would call in with something so insane and Tom would so casually roll with it.  The fact that he was semi-plausible and not somebody like Brimstead made it even more unbelievable.

I vote music scholar.

Power Pop Pop-Pop.  Even though the character actually appeared twice, and Quad P himself didn't actually make the call.

Rick the soaker!!!

I'd vote for either Albany Rick The Soaker (my Best Show in-point)
Or Randy from Tunnelbridge - He's the one who "danced" with Madonna in 1989-90 at the Madison Square Garden
"Animals Tour" -  :-\

Another vote may have to go to Judge Davies. He may be the most influential one-time caller ever.

It's hard to imagine what Newbridge would look without him. He can count Keith Gaystburt, Bishop Fontana and the Freedom Eater as converts.

Wasn't Bill from Consolidated Cardboard a one-time character? If so he's definitely the best.

"Oh, you must have misunderstood me..."
He was natural police. And I don't say that about many people, even when they're here on the felt. I don't say that often unless it happens to be true. Nat'ral po-lice. But Christ, what an asshole.
