I have picked up Night People in my podcast rotation. I have a lot of good will for these guys, but so far it's the two guys and their two callers talking about things like the folly of government for 10 minutes, then giggling and playing toy pianos for 50 minutes. I am about 2 months behind. Does it get rolling any better? 7 Second Delay's about all of the "is this the worst show we've ever done?" I can take in one week.

I had hope for this show too but not anymore. The last episode was especially lousy. Whatever weird fascination with the show I still have left is deteriorating fast.

I bailed out on 7SD a while ago.  It just got so bad.  They get a "B" for being nice guys, but an "F" for effort.  I can't bring myself to even try to listen to these other piles of crap.

I laugh out loud at 7sd. Maybe I am drawn to the short format (45 minutes of actual content).  The whole show should just be Andy and Ken doing foreplay; forget their "topics."

Not a bad idea for a new show at all for the station.  My friend who manages a used bookstore was telling me a few days ago how "paranormal romance" is huge these days.  Probably bigger segments of the population interested in this sort of thing than even underground music.

Ha, I am the one making these books.  They are ridiculous.  Erotic angels, romantic vampires, werewolves, demons, magic pirates, cat-people.  My job rules.

This is the kind of terrain Mawky Ramone should be working, too. Or maybe he already is.

I think 7SD has gotten really good since they went to the live variety show format. The real truth, though, like someone else said, is that they're at the best when there's no topic. Andy Breckman is a very funny guy and I just enjoy hearing him talk.

I bailed on Night People too. It gets to be a bit of an endurance test. The guy says the phone number more in ten minutes than all the other talk shows do in about a year.
I'll probably go into the wee hours.

I am a big 7SD fan; right now I am listening to the bigfoot episode of Night People; it's by far the best of the 4 I have heard.

Night People is the best!! The NY's eve episode is fantastic especially when they get a call from "Sandy"'s brother who is drunk at a party where everyone is falling asleep.  It is classic radio!!!  I am catching every show on the archives now, its like going for a beer with your really funny and intelligent friends and not talking about each others lives, current events etc. but just wondering aloud.

See, I kinda hate those.  Not only are they completely removed from the show's premise (stunt radio, fatal flaw, blah blah blah), Ken and Andy (who I agree is a very funny guy and the reason to listen) get far less time on mic for those shows.  It's lose-lose for me.  But I could just be bitter because I don't care for most of their guests.

I've only listened to the dream episodes of Night People, but I like it a lot. It's silly, long, nonessential, and fun. Oh, and Swiss . . .

After weeks on the air now, I still think Night People is great.  It's definitely not something you have to hear every second of, or even listen every week, but it's so much fun to tune in occasionally, especially if you actually are a night person.

Does anyone else like The Speakeasy with Dorian?  I used to listen to it every Monday (I think that was the day) when I drove home from class at night.  She has a lot of cool guests and the show turned me on to a bunch of cool stuff.  I still listen about once a month.

I'm also working my way through The Acousmatic Theater Hour.  Great stuff, Jason.
