Did anyone else notice that when Tom asked Spike to name three women that he liked each one of them was the victim of abuse by a man?

Robin Quivers- sexually abused by her father
Ronnie Spector- emotionally abused by Phil
Tina Turner- Ike

Furthermore, each of these women gained fame in tandem with a man (Tina/Ike, Ronnie/Phil, Robin/Howard).
