Nice album cover (not!) - what was Todd thinking? "I need to take a picture of my callous and show the people"? I haven't heard anything from the new album, thumbs up/down or just okay?
We saw Todd in Portland a little over a year ago with Prairie Prince - totally rocked! We even got to hang out a little with him after the show while they were loading gear. I have pictures, but am totally embarrassed to show them.
You know, I am one of those guys who liked most of Todd's reincarnations (except for the bossa nova one), so for me, they were mostly listenable, but I have to hear the studio versions before I make a formal declaration.
For me, the concert was well worth the price I paid, if for "Couldn't I Just Tell You" alone.
Still, disappointingly, here's the whole set list
Love in Action, The Walls Came Down, Black Maria, I Saw the Light, Open My Eyes, Lunatic Fringe, all 13 songs from Arena. Encore: Couldn't I Just Tell You, Just One Victory
So, you know, I would have liked to have heard It Wouldn't Have Made Any Difference, For the Want of a Nail, maybe Tiny Demons, lots of others that I would have loved. I guess in hindsight I should be thankful he didn't do Like a Virgin or Uptown Girl.
