I'd like to safely detonate it as part of the annual Newbridge Day festivities. Most people seem to agree with me that this would be much more fun than simply defusing it.

My grandmother lives nearby and I know she is concerned about the potential that she'd have to clean little kid blubber off her flowers if this were to happen.  It would potentially bring back distressing memories for her.
