I haven't seen the SNL special, but whenever they get politicians on it blows. This is why the Daily Show pwns SNL: when they have politicians on, they actually do a semi-real interview and don't involve them in these dumb skits that are like "I'm laughing at my Self!" That's the kind of humor you save for office Christmas parties and other no-comedy-standards events. I can't help thinking it suggests this weird parental relationship between politicians and the rest of us, like "Oh hey guys, I'm not above coming down in the basement and making a couple jokes with you for a few minutes. All right, that's enough, time to go upstairs and run the world! You guys have fun down here."
