I've been reading fivethirtyeight.com throughout the election. Too bad blogspot crapped out on him on election day.

Nate Silver called the final election results almost to the decimal point. Pretty amazing. I'm way too much of a statisticaldummy to understand his methods, but I will definitely turn to his polls in future elections.
I'll probably go into the wee hours.

I expected nothing less from one of the guys behind Baseball Prospectus which I rely on very heavily every year for fantasy baseball.

Come on, Jason

He's already ranking the 2010 Senate races "from 1 to 35 in order of their likelihood of changing hands to the opposition party."

I bet even President Obama took a couple days off.

Yeah, but he's got a life; I'm not so sure about Nate Silver.

The guy is seemingly some sort of prodigious savant.  He'll redefine the methodology for political polling before he's done.

I just wish he was more polite to Rachel when he's on the show, prodigious savants, you know how those people are.

He's definitely a little deficient when it comes to social skills.  I like best the way he just says "yeah" when someone welcomes him to a show.  He reminds me of all the nerdy boys I've been kind to over the years.

I've seen him on both Countdown and Rachel Maddow and while he's definitely socially deficient, I don't think it's out of intended rudeness. I think he does better than I would in a similar position. I noticed he's sporting some fancy Sarah Palin-esque glasses the last time I saw him on there.
