I'm making a spinach quiche (sans Ostrich egg) and my new famous cayenne & curry pumpkin pie.

Happy Thanksgiving!

A stripped-down version of the standard meal:  turkey, bread stuffing with raisins and toasted pecans, a turnip casserole, gravy, mashed potatoes, pumpkin pie w/homemade vanilla ice cream.

Plus cranberry-onion relish.

cayenne & curry pumpkin pie.

That sounds awesome (and I don't even like pumpkin pie).
I'll probably go into the wee hours.

Sweet potatoes au gratin with bleu cheese.  And maybe a tart of some kind.

Posh Spice?

That sounds really good.  I made Spinach Croquettes and they were a hit!

I'm not a chicken,  you're a turkey.

I went to my girl's grandparents' place, so I made the "Indian boyfriend among a house full of retired New York Italians". It wasn't awkward at all.

I go up north every year and sit in the corner twiddling my thumbs while my wife's uncles and cousins talk about their deer hunting adventures. I usually end up sneaking off to play pool or video games with the kids... and then I usually get yelled at later for sneaking off.

The tart flamed out.  But the sweet potatoes were pretty good.
Oh, good heavens. I didn’t realize. I send my condolences out to the rest of the O’Connor family.

Thank god.  The suspense has been killing me.
