No Age: Corporate shills!

Oh, for shame No Age. You're playing a private event for Nike? I mean, really, what the fuck?

I'm sure the pretentious "gallerists" and Nike employees on the guest list will pretend to enjoy the show. Or ignore it and talk over it really loudly or whatever.
Too soon?

I'm sure the .02% of their fans who actually paid money for their album will be mighty pissed.

I never really planned on going anyway. I'd much rather see Reigning Sound.

Lame.   And Panda Bear, too? That guy hardly ever plays solo and he's doing this thing.  Maybe they were promised pairs of those Dinosaur Jr Dunks.

I paid good money for both Nouns and Person Pitch and I don't give a shit about this.

Actually, ANP Quarterly is a really cool magazine and they are also sponsoring this show.  I just got issues No. 9 and 10.  They're very pretty.  I recommend it.

So this show isn't really for Nike.  Really.

I'm not a chicken,  you're a turkey.

Ha ha.

I liked it when No Age and Arthur magazine made a big deal about how they played in the middle of the L.A. river and took 45,000 pictures and a video of themselves playing in a giant cement wasteland for 10 people until the cops came and broke it up and No Age and/or Arthur magazine were like "Everyone can do this!  All you need is a portable generator!  And lots of cameras!!  And you can play for like 25 minutes until the cops come!!  Anyone can do this man!!!"

It is true though.  You can pretty much do anything at all anywhere you want for about 25 minutes if you have a portable generator.  But it doesn't count unless you photograph it.

Pretty convenient that they could play their entire catalog in that 25 min.

Wait, there's a magazine entirely devoted to the Dudley Moore character?

I really don't appreciate your sarcastic, anti-comedy tone, Bro!

Nah, man...they're bringing the system down from the INSIDE, see? They're taking the Man's money so they can use it AGAINST HIM.

Or just taking the Man's money, either way.
I'm warning you with peace and love.

I just wanted to point out that this No Age PRIVATE EVENT is taking place at Nicky Hilton's club. I think it's taking place in the room named after her sister, Paris. HAVE FUN.

Why all the haters in this thread? I think it's cool that Nike selected a pretty good band for their party. A band like No Age is walking away with a couple grand max for a regular sold out club date. They aren't millionaires or anything, and a private event will probably be their best pay day all year. If you wouldn't accept that check, then you probably don't have any financial concerns in the first place.
