He doesn't just have impeccable taste in music, you know.

1. The Dark Knight - “The best superhero movie ever.”
2. Slumdog Millionaire
3. WALL-E - “It certainly deserves to be nominated.”
4. Tropic Thunder
5. Funny Games - “A savage parody of the snuff-porn”
6. The Bank Job
7. Lakeview Terrace
8. The Ruins
9. Redbelt - “Not your father’s Karate Kid.”
10. Death Race

I really liked the four of those I saw.  Slumdog Millionaire was fantastic.

I forgot about Redbelt, aka the thinking man's No Retreat, No Surrender.

I agree though, King got about 4 right.

9. Redbelt - “Not your father’s Karate Kid.”

More like my grandpa's Karate Kid.

Dark Knight, Funny Games, Lakeview Terrace, The Ruins, Death Race...

Damn, this guy REALLY loves menace!

Wall-E is obviously only included to give the list the barest hint of credibility. Based on some of the other movies here, I'm pretty sure that can be safely swapped out for Saw V.

saw v was pretty awesome.  not as great as saw iii, but not as bad as saw iv.  saw vi might be the last one.  can't wait to see how the wrap this all up.

After mentioning ZZ Top's "Velcro Fly" on Twitter today (because I'm not afraid to delve into esoteric subject matter), I ended up watching the song's timeless video on YouTube, where virtually every comment was Stephen King-related.

"The song appears in Stephen King's novel, The Dark Tower III: The Waste Lands, where in the series's post-apocalyptic alternate reality of Mid-World, the song's looped percussion intro, played via a large PA system in the decaying city of Lud, is referred to as "the God Drums"."
