Lil' Hitler denied cake

Quote
Three-year-old Adolph Hitler Campbell is cute, cuddly and, for now, blissfully unaware of the shock value conveyed by his first and middle names. That may be changing, though.

The youngster was at the center of a recent dispute between his parents and a local supermarket that refused to spell out his name on a cake for his birthday party last weekend. A story in a local newspaper prompted an outpouring of angry online responses directed at Heath Campbell, 35, and his wife Deborah, 25.

"I think people need to take their heads out of the cloud they've been in and start focusing on the future and not on the past," Heath Campbell said Tuesday in an interview conducted on the other side of the Delaware River from where the family lives in Hunterdon County, N.J.

....said noted expert on having-one's-head-out-of-the-clouds and looking-to-the-future, Heath Campbell.

Quote
The Campbells ultimately got their cake inscribed at a Wal-Mart in Pennsylvania, Deborah Campbell said. About 12 people attended the birthday party on Sunday, including several children who were of mixed race, according to Heath Campbell.

"If we're so racist, then why would I have them come into my home?" he asked.

The Campbells' other two children also have unusual names: JoyceLynn Aryan Nation Campbell turns 2 in a few months and Honszlynn Hinler Jeannie Campbell will be 1 in April.

Indeed those names are 'unusual'! Are they Greek or something?

Proud moments, New Jersey.

Yeah I mentioned this creep in the things you hate thread.  My favorite part about it all is how the dad claims to be so confused about why anyone would find any of his kids' names offensive.

who gives a fuck?  everyone is giving this fucking idiot the attention that he obviously craves.

I love how our country has turned into one big false outrage contest.  Let's all see who can be more outraged.
Breakfast- I'm havin' a time
Wheelies- I'm havin' a time

Drunk Tank- not so much a time

I'm outraged that I have to come up with a new name for my kids, now.

Maybe "Jay Leno Seinfeld Mencia."

How can people like this firstly, meet each other, secondly, not be offended or disgusted by each other enough that they still decide to marry and procreate, and thirdly, want to celebrate the fruits of their horrible union with a novelty cake?

scrap that.  I don't want to know anything about these people.

This Adolf Hitler Campbell kid could turn out to be a really cool dude, to spite his namesake.  You never know.  It's a horribly inconsiderate thing these kid's parents have done though.

If these two could "find" "happiness," maybe there's hope for all of us.

The fact that they misspelled "Adolf" is the icing on the cake (no pun intended*).

Unless they thought that by changing it to "Adolph" they could plausibly claim "See? Technically he's not named after Big Hitler so it's not racist!"  I doubt it though.

*Ok, it was.

This whole thing disgusts me.

Now if you'll excuse me, I have to put Benito and Pol Pot from Maplewood to bed.
