Seriously, "Sweetness" by Yes.

Don't judge.

Maybe that'll be for when I have my civic union ceremony with Christina The Yes Fan.

Good choice, preferably preceded by a field goal kicking contest and "Heart of the Sunrise."

We almost went with Ted Nugent's Stranglehold but decided not to in deference to the grandparents present. Since we did the 20s theme (so as to avoid the whole tuxedo/poofy dress/veil route), we opted for Louis Armstrong's St. Louis Blues. It worked well with the theme.
I'll probably go into the wee hours.

Hell, ANYTHING by Yes. The Gates of Delerium! Siberian Khatru! Circus of Heaven! Even White Car by faux-Yes!

How about "Lets go Crazy" by Prince?

I've always wanted to recite that intro monologue in a church.
hey what's up

"Wasted Years" by Iron Maiden.
I really don't appreciate your sarcastic, anti-comedy tone, Bro!

Just wanted to thank AM Thomas again for the Amiina suggestion. Last night was a smash success, lots of happy (and crying, and drunk) people and lots of dancing. Quite a few people commented on the choice of processional music. It was just beautiful. Now it's time for a very long nap.

Late to the party, but congrats.
Oh, good heavens. I didn’t realize. I send my condolences out to the rest of the O’Connor family.

Thanks! It was pretty cool to have some important input from an FOT on an important day.

I need help with this same thing.

My choices keep veering towards Brian Eno and Moondog.  The Eno stuff I go to is too sombre and the Moondog stuff too bompity-bomp.

I had some family members play This Will Be Our Year at our wedding so I give the thumbs to that.

There are some great ideas here, and I can't think of any better musical selections. The most adorable and witty piece I ever heard at a wedding was a reading of the poem "Tin Wedding Whistle" by Ogden Nash. If there were a song that captured that poem's essence, I'd say go with that song.

Though you know it anyhow
Listen to me, darling, now,
Proving what I need not prove
How I know I love you, love.
Near and far, near and far,
I am happy where you are;
Likewise I have never larnt
How to be it where you aren't.
Far and wide, far and wide,
I can walk with you beside;
Furthermore, I tell you what,
I sit and sulk where you are not.
Visitors remark my frown
Where you're upstairs and I am down,
Yes, and I'm afraid I pout
When I'm indoors and you are out;
But how contentedly I view
Any room containing you.
In fact I care not where you be,
Just as long as it's with me.
In all your absences I glimpse
Fire and flood and trolls and imps.
Is your train a minute slothful?
I goad the stationmaster wrothful.
When with friends to bridge you drive
I never know if you're alive,
And when you linger late in shops
I long to telephone the cops.
Yet how worth the waiting for,
To see you coming through the door.
Somehow, I can be complacent
Never but with you adjacent.
Near and far, near and far,
I am happy where you are;
Likewise I have never larnt
How to be it where you aren't.
Then grudge me not my fond endeavor,
To hold you in my sight forever;
Let none, not even you, disparage
Such a valid reason for a marriage.
