To really answer this question, I feel you MUST look at the scenario of Freddy Krueger going up against Jason Voorhees, as evidenced in the film Freddy vs. Jason (2003).

On one hand you have Spike, a man with a slow and steady Jason Voorhees-like way of achieving his ends. This is a method of battle that has proven to work very well over time. He will sit in that summer camp for years, neigh centuries (see Jason X) just to win his battle. No matter how many times you make fun of his plate and fork or mock his love for doo-wop he will keep coming back, because he is an indestructible force of nature hell bent on one thing: ridding the world of horny teenagers.

Fredericks, to ride this metaphor all the way home, is the Freddy Krueger to Spike's Jason. All of his impulsive, chaotic "attacks" are delivered with a sarcastic wink to the camera that the Spike/Jason archetype does not have. Like his namesake, Fredericks lives in a surreal New Port Richey/Elm Street dream dimension from which he can reach out, into the real world, to blow peoples minds. They both also have disturbing laughs.

Experts (creepy, pathetic experts) will tell you that this debate can never end, so it's probably not worth your time to hash it out. I personally have to go with Spike, for the reason that he is nigh invincible.

All of that aside, I think this youtube video explains it better than anyone could:

You Spike champions are deluded.  He "disciplines" people who volunteer for it; otherwise, I'm betting he's a softie.  In Fredericks, however, I see a potential for blackout rage, the kind that inures a guy to pain, so that he'd just pound, and pound, and pound, and pound, indifferent to his opponent's feeble attempts to fend him off as he reduced Spike's soft, pampered flesh to pulp

I have to agree with Sarah on this one. Spike sounds like anything but a fighter.

I'm not sure if strength is gonna go all that far. I'm thinking telepathic abilities. Spike glancing at a bench at the end of the ring, then that bench soars through the air at Fredericks. I haven't read each and every post in this thread, so I'm sorry if I've repeated a thought.

This is why I love the FOT and the collective creativity.  Ben had to sincerely (I think) say he's sorry if someone already imagined Spike using telepathic powers in a fight.

Yes, indeed! I have to agree with Sarah and Erika. If Fredericks naked and chained up in Spike's dungeon, I am sure Spike could win. Fredericks could really snap, though. He would be like those drug addled male strangers waiting in dark alleys to attack women stupid enough to leave the their home alone at night and even mace wouldn't stop him because his rage would rule his body.

Still, I think Spike is most frightening of the two. You could easily talk their way out of Fredericks' dungeon, if he had a dungeon and hadn't murdered you yet. I imagine Spike would realise you were trying to talk your way out of his dungeon and enjoy himself even more.

Spike is a Mayor of New Port Richey?

I feel shocked (and slightly sullied).

Where do I go to find the mean Tom posts?

Having listened to the show since way back in the days when Spike would do his "where's Debbie" crank calls, it's been a fascinating experience getting to know him. That said, he will never not completely creep me out. Fredericks is more self-aware, which makes him a little less fun when it comes to Tom giving him the runaround, like he does Spike. Unless Fredericks sends Tom a dead fish or gets invited to the studio to sing some of his original blues rock compositions, I see both of these guys being able to go the long haul.

So if we're talking bare-knuckle fistfighting, they'd both be handburger.

If it is some sort of ultraviolent and cinematic battle I vote Fredericks, I can see him talking away while he slams a bloody and barely compus Spike around his Den.  "Why are you making me do this to you Spike?  Why do you always make me do this?"

If we are talking a Best Show curiosity battle, I got to go with Spike.  I got a feeling Fredericks will turn up with a Poker chip for an eye and a birdcage for a leg in a matter of weeks.

Dear Pinky (Mayor of NP effin' Arrrrrrr)

Your former statement was extremely perspicacious.

Your latter statement sounded like you were drunk and bulletproof (you're not).
