Fantastic one-two punches on:

Unwound "The Future of What"

Same with "Look a Ghost" and "December" from Leaves Turn....

Shellac records are good for this, too.  The first two on 1000 Hurts.
Same with the new one--the first two records are face-melters.

Ike

In agreeance! Unwound was pretty infallible.
I will never almost regret always

I guess I was taking this too literally, using only the first and second songs from an album. But if we're just looking for sequential songs, how about Blue Oyster Cult, Tyranny and Mutation, Hot Rails to Hell then Seven Screaming Dizbusters, or Talking Heads, More Songs About Buildings and Food, Take Me to the River then The Big Country. Neil Young, After the Goldrush, Only Love Can Break Your Heart then Southern Man. Dylan, Blood on the Tracks, You're a Big Girl Now then Idiot Wind. and so on.....Kate Bush, Running Up That Hill then Hounds of Love.

I thought so too, right away (the two initial picks were one-two punches on records).

In that vein, too, it's hard to mess with "Brown Sugar" and "Sway".
Well it's been a long time since I've had my favorite drink

Or "Walk On", "See The Sky...." and "Rev. Blues."

That is, quite possibly, my favorite album of all time.  Ever.

It's probably a 4 way tie between that, Time Fades Away, SKWM's Firewater, and a Come album.

ON THE BEACH.

So good.
