Other than that, I am obligated (through friendship) to plug "The Big Bang Theory" on CBS, which I will admit, I do enjoy.

I like that show as well.

I thought Extras was a failurepile. S1 had promise, so did S2, but it fell apart and became really unwatchable pretty fast. I never finished the specials either. Mind  you, I'm one of the people who puts UKOffice in my top bestyest shows of all time lists too, so there you go.

Try Peep Show if you haven't yet though, it's also another greatest of all times show I think. Flight of the Conchords is pretty great too, definitely watch it.

I think Extras is good, and I'll second crumbum's assessment of I'm Alan Partridge as the best sitcom ever. Peep Show and Snuff Box are both really nasty. You'd probably like 'em. The British are just funnier than we are.

Flight of the Conchords seems kind of funny, but it's too much of a Mighty Boosh retread for me to bother with. And I think the Mighty Boosh would probably bug you, even though I think it's funny.

Mad Men is good. I just started watching it. Smart enough to be good, but not so demanding that it feels like homework.

I think peep show is really funny but I can't watch it on account of I cannot stand the point of view gimmick.

Oh yeah and you should definitely watch Mad Men. Give it 4 episodes if you don't like it at first. The first few lay it on a little thick, but then the plot starts to unfold and it gets awesome.

It also features curvaceous ladies in flattering dresses.

Monk.  I'll admit that I only started watching it because of Tom, but I ended up liking it a lot.

My favorite is "watch your own business," which isn't even idiomatic English.  I should've thrown a couple of extra "a"s in there so I could pretend I was channeling the Chinatown Italian.

Also, watch Absolutely Fabulous before it gets remade over here.  It is the best.

More than 10 years old, but the original Aeon Flux shorts are fantastic.  Will take you all of an hour to watch them all.
