Those are my Recordland pics indeed, when I visited Calgary in August 2007. The whole set should hopefully be up on flickr if you search "recordland" or "recordland Calgary"
I have to admit though that Recordland is jaw dropping to be inside. Find amazing stuff? Not so much. Find reasonably priced and good condition stuff? Impossible, sadly. And I just googled this place to see if it was still around, and I found this site called Calgary 2.0(?) and, well, let's just say the user reviews of Recordland kinda puncture the Every Canadian Is Nice balloon. I found more stuff the 5 minutes I was at Sloth than the hour I was at Recordland.
And I feel bad for slighting Red Green. He's probably a good guy, but he triggers that sickly feeling of housesitting for one's grand uncle, pre Internet, pre iPhone. There's a stack of Reader's Digests and golf mags from three years ago, and that's it. The Red Green show feels like that.
