So last night Le Scharpling raised $61,000 and the week previous he raised $62,000!
This is an amazing, unprecedented achievement for WFMU!
Congratulations to Tom for this prodigious accomplishment. Tom's been working on these marathon shows since early summer of LAST year---running around, organizing to get the elements together for the performances and premiums together. He's worked many, many late nights on this and he's exhausted (and the 'thon's not even done yet).

Ted Leo, Aimee Mann, Paul F. Tompkins and John Hodgman who gave their massive talents in performance ! ( I know Tom will do a more thorough thanx, but i thought i mention it here while i had a few seconds)
But i really wanted to congratulate Tom on his Herculean feat of fundraising!!!! (Because for all his on-air bravado, he's too modest to really make hay about this truly notable and unparalleled his fund-raising was!)
And can I request that if anyone has, or finds pix online of last night’s/ last week’s TBSOWFMU’s marathon shows to please post them here?
