I saw Rush/Til Tuesday on the tour where Til Tuesday opened for Rush.  I am old.

Congrats to Tom and good work to all the FOTs.  With a marathon you don't want to go out too fast and have nothing left in the second half, which can be a truly dreadful experience.  Having an almost even split like that shows disciplined pacing that would make ol' Hal Higdon proud, that is if he's still alive.  I'll go Google that and get back to you.

Obviously, Tom and friends crushed this thing.  Hands down, it was awesome.   

That said, I think the entire WFMU airstaff did a magnificent job this time out.  I couldn't tune out. They transform the guaranteed-audience-repellent that is fundraising into the best entertainment anywhere.

The marathon isn't just the Superbowl of radio, it's the Superbowl of audio itself.
