I didn't mean negative as in "bad", but just a direction, like left or right. I feel Buffcoat was trying to make a joke.
I think so, too. And I actually did know that you were using "negative" as a direction. But, given its other, more common meaning, who knows what subconscious motives guided your decision to assign "judging" to the negative side of the scale?
DfK, how about correlating the results here with those in the political spectrum thread?
Honestly, I have no idea how that would work.
You could make some categorical variables, like make Judging negative and the other one positive. Then you could assign a category to each of the four quadrants of the political thing. Then you could use non-parametric statistics to see what the correlation is. That way, the small sample size doesn't matter.
Oh! Can you use The Wilcox statistic? You know, the one where you make two lists of things and count the number of ways it can happen? Who cares if it's right! Oh, but you can't put it in order to rank things. Well, get out your big red nonparametric book and figure it out! There aren't many statisticians here! I will believe whatever you say if it's believable. DO IT!!! NOW!
