New York City in July.
« on: May 19, 2009, 02:24:03 PM »
Hiya friends,
My cousins and I are going to NYC July 28-31. We have practically nothing planned yet. We are just going for the fun of it.
What are some fun/cheap/interesting things that we can do/go/eat/experience? I know that you as FOT will have awesome suggestions. I am open to anything.
Thanks!

Hey guys- my NY trip is next week. I am definitely planning on hitting up some art places/bookshops/record stores, but I don't know how much time my cousins are going to want to spend in said establishments. Are any of you available to hang out one morning/afternoon/anytime? I would love to 1) Meet some are FoT 2) Not feel rushed while looking at art, etc. Anything fun happening that week? I would love to take part in it.
If you can meet-up or such, you can message me here on the forum.
I would really appreciate this!

Thanks!

Sighh ill try to recreate
Free tim and eric show on 7/30 at santos party house 18+ http://www.santospartyhouse.com/
free boxing on hudson pier 7/30 outdoors http://www.hudsonriverpark.org/events.asp
I like New Museum it is free on Thursdays after 7pm http://www.newmuseum.org/about/ for whacky modern art
I just went to Governor's Island and liked it.  Admission/ferry ride are free. and i think bike rentals are free on Fridays.  Good place to picnic.  http://www.govisland.com/
I second opinions on other thread about Coney Island and crossing Bk bridge.
Shake shack and artichoke pizza are yummy and you can stand on line for hip things
Sweet Revenge makes good cupcakes and sangria.
Other cheap food: Red Bamboo, Grey Dog, Angelica Kitchen, New French (at lunch only), Num Pang
I dont know how old you are but I have always heard Astoria beer garden is fun but it rains everytime i try to go.  Frying Pan is amazingggg at night for the views of Jersey<3  http://nymag.com/listings/bar/frying_pan/

Is anyone going to that Tim and Eric show who might want to meet up?  I'm going alone, and I've never met a FOT before.

There's a 50% chance I'm going to be at my parents' house in northern New Jersey this weekend, and if I do go, I'll probably go to the Tim and Eric thing (as well as maybe the Vivian Girls on 7/31 and hipster extravaganza on Sunday). I'll post here if I end up getting to Jersey.
