I think he forgot to, since he does it in interviews.
Eh, I don't blame him. Less confusing for most of his target audience. To be fair, Sacha Baron Cohen does like 90% of his interviews in character too.
So did GG, before he passed on. Maybe more than 90%.
As much as I hate to defend this lowest common denominator vampire, it looks to me like in actual interviews as opposed to promotional showcases like The Tonight Show, he doesn't do the shtick (or at least attempts not to):
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ift1kDgnV9cI suppose that given this I can understand him a bit better, even if his product is not something I would
ever choose to enjoy. I'd wager that Mr. Whitney is a business mastermind who should be included among other legitimate, self-made comedians, no matter how much one would want to lump him in with the Mencias and Learys of the world. Like a McDonalds or a WalMart, he found the button that siphons money out of the largest demographic of Americans. I don't know that I can blame this mediocre talent for slamming that button as many times as possible before it breaks. Adapting a dog-tired stereotype character was his one shot as a performer. When it paid off, I'm sure it surprised and disappointed him just as much as it did us.
