I just hit shuffle songs on my iPod and pressed next until i came to a band that I could remember all of the names of, as luck would have it I found The Band and spent more time than I care to admit figuring this out.

The Band:
Smartest-Robbie Robertson
Dumbest-Rick Danko
Toughest-Garth Hudson

If we could vote for weakest it would be Levon Helm.

I'd say:

Smartest - Garth Hudson
Dumbest - Rick Danko (Richard Manuel is a close second)
Toughest - Levon Helm

Talking Heads:

Smartest - David Byrne
Dumbest - Chris Frantz
Toughest - Tina Weymouth

Toughest - N/A

Wow, I'd pay to see Flavor Flav and Professor Griff in a dumb-off.  Flav is more aggressively stupid, but Griff seems to actually be dumber.

Genesis, yes, has never had a tough member.  Who are the tough ones in Yes and Rush?

Pink Floyd
Smartest - Nick Mason (problems?  what problems?)
Dumbest - Rick Wright, RIP
Toughest - David Gilmour (Roger the Hat if you count roadies)
I really don't appreciate your sarcastic, anti-comedy tone, Bro!

Lifeson is the toughest member of Rush. He and his family allegedly got into some kind of brawl with a bunch of cops on New Years Eve a few years ago. This was pretty much the only interesting, non-SCTV related thing anyone in Rush has ever done. I remember reading something about him spitting blood at a police officer and hoping he'd change his name to Alex Deathson.

No way Levon Helm is the weakest member of The Band. His Spanish Conquistador facial hair alone is enough to convince me that he would be able to choke the life out of Robbie Robertson with Robbie's dumb scarf if he had to.
This may be the year I will disappear.

It's a shame that "Dopest" isn't part of this game. Shaggy would have had that wrapped up. Violent Joe never had a chance.

...I guess.

I'm going far out on a limb and predicting that except for Wings the sole female member of every band listed here will be named the toughest member.

Is this picture from the Lifeson arrest? http://www.rockandrollbadboy.com/photos/celebrities/alexlifesonarrested/ It looks to be staged but I hope it isn't.

Also, if we rate The Band in toughness based on facial hair Richard Manuel has to be in the conversation.

Actually the sole female member of every band is the bass player. Everyone knows that.

But if you want to do lady bands, it would probably look like this:

The Runaways
Toughest: Joan Jett
Toughest: Lita Ford
Toughest: Jackie Fox
Toughest: Cherie Currie
Toughest: Sandy West

Wasn't that in Florida?

I didn't include Griff or the S1W's because they're nothing but stage props. Anti-semitic stage props.

Is there any truth to the insane rumors that Count Violence is not the toughest member of Ted Leo & the Pharmacists?
I'll probably go into the wee hours.
