Le Scharpling in Yo La Tengo video "Tom Courtenay"

I'm not sure if it's ever been mentioned here, but did u know that our hero Tom was in Yo La Tengo's 1995 vid "Tom Courtenay"?

It's pre-BEST SHOW days and he's playing a DJ in it called "Big Andy Rigg" who introduces the band "YA La TAngo"
to a crowd of impatient and soon-to-be-furious, BEATLES fans!

Directed by major FOT Phil Morrison, this has gotta be one of the bestest Yo La Tengo vids/songs ever!

These two songs are my favorite Yo La Tengo songs (because they're rockers). Also I've seen that Tom Courtenay video 10x and never knew that was Tom. Cool!

I've known this song for years but never saw this video.  The Marshal Crenshaw cameo was just as good at the Tom appearance.

The catalog of Tom appearances now includes The Onion, Upright Citizen's Brigade, and this...there have got to be others.
