Laurie, you don't need to worry:  we don't talk about you in Chinatown.

Yeah, no Laurie talk from any of the three of them.

Good one, Somebody's Second Account!

Don't hate, player. I'm not the one starting Buffcoat Sucks threads.

That was my doing.  I resented him for abandoning us.

Besides, truth is truth.

I'm more of a biter, actually.
I really don't appreciate your sarcastic, anti-comedy tone, Bro!

When you think of it, why should sucking be bad anyway?  And why are "that bites" and "that sucks" more or less synonymous, when "you suck" and "you bite" aren't?  And then there's the scornful "bite me," which has never made sense to me, since that act would seem to punish the bitee more than the biter.

So much to ponder.

Like This American Life*, I'll go through phases where I never miss Prank Patrol for like 6 months, and then get burned out on it for a year or more.

One of my favorite Prank Patrol moments is one time (God knows what episode) when their call screener was late in arriving, and Ken or Andy mentions that they're going to read him the riot act when he arrives, which spiraled into a discussion about the actual 18th century Riot Act. This culminated in them finding the actual text of the Act online and Andy furiously reading it to him when he did arrive, without context or explanation.

I guess you kind of have to hear it, but I'll often make my self laugh thinking about Andy hoarsely hollering "By ORDER of our SOVERIGN LORD THE KING!! etc etc"

* (Probably the only time these two shows will ever be compared)
I'm warning you with peace and love.

One of my favorite SSDs is them calling to various embassies of the world, starting to ask a question, then suddenly sneezing in the middle of the phone conversation to measure which nation is the most courteous by how quickly they say "Bless You," or "'Gesundheit."

It is sidesplittingly hilarious and in the archives.
"Is this me?"

My favorite is the Electroshock show, where Ken and Andy alternate between being hooked up to a 9 volt battery.  Ken goes as low as offering a kid Pokemon cards in order to get Andy shocked.

Yeah, that's a classic-- it, along with the one where they have the troop of Webelos into the studio, were how I got my old roommate into SSD (which I've been listening to for longer than I've been listening to the Best Show). It makes me sad to hear Andy refer to the non-UCB theater shows as being like being in detention, because I tend to prefer them-- their Gypsy Cab episode from a few weeks ago was great, even if the sound quality was terrible at times.

I had no idea this show was so goofy.

I listened to a podcast a while ago and i thought it was funny, but I had over committed myself w/a ton of podcasts and this one was one of the ones that got cut.

I've clearly been missing out.
