Fucked-Up Perform Chemistry of Modern Life (Titus Andronicus opening)

That sounds like the title of a pomo grad-school thesis, c. 1992.

Won't be going, on account that I'm nowhere near Brooklyn (unfortunately) but just wanted to tell cutout the "dur dur etre bebe" underneath his name just brought me back to senior year of high school.  Thank you.

Says it is at a Masonic Temple?  Is that just the name of the club?  Saw Titus Andronicus open for Ted Leo though and they were AWESOME.  Attend for them alone if the tickets are reasonable for you.
Sounds like someone was working as a conduit for nature's natural vengeance.  Just like Jesus.  And some of the others.

Wish I could go. A couple acquaintances of mine may be going, and they kind of suck, which makes me more jealous.

I saw them with TL as well, and it made for a fantastic show. Titus Andronicus is awesome.

Nice blog post from the T.A. singer about how - contain your surprise - the VICE party in Williamsburg was hell to perform at.

Ha -I've read some other accounts of this lame ass party on some other blogs, and that's pretty much the gist of it: 1/2 the people are taking pictures of the other half, who are doing coke. The other thing that was super fucking irritating? Free Colt 45 all night. That's right guys, the hipsters are now done with PBR and now are going to put their bored-face imprimatur on Colt 45.

Titus Andronicus = such good guys, and their live show is terrifyingly real.  Ever since Tom played 45 seconds of their single on the show during their whole aborted Smash-or-Trash snafu, I've been hooked. Anybody in NYC (or anywhere) who misses a chance to see them is insane.

Except, uhh, when they play a Vice party, apparently. Wow.
I'm warning you with peace and love.

Oh, also, those VICE douches spent $250K on this party, and the founder dressed up as a terrorist ... he's an edgy muthafucka.

Vice isn't even the bottom of the barrel. It's the narrow, dark, smelly space between the bottom of the barrel and the pavement. Everything associated with Vice should be burned to the ground, except I'm sure they'd find some way to ironically appreciate arson, too.

So The Wife thinks I should go to this. I totally would, 'cept I hate going to shows alone. Anyone making the scene?

I don't get "scenes."  I've spent time here and there in most of the big cities in this land.  I could see being a part of the hustle and bustle of urban life (for me, only for a little while, but still).  But I definitely don't understand the need to be a douchebag scenester.  What do they get out of it?

I really don't appreciate your sarcastic, anti-comedy tone, Bro!

I hope I'm wrong about this, but - drug-fueled adventures and sex with hot girls?

I am still debating on this one. I didn't realized until recently that I am going into the city tomorrow for the Hunter College open house.

But I don't have class on Friday, so that makes this show more appealing.
