Great to see some of my absolute favorite things in the world show up on this list: S&W's Hippy Justice, PFT's Impersonal and Todd Barry's Medium Energy. Andy Daly's Nine Sweater is missing though.

Great list.  In addition to Daly I would have put the Comedy Death Ray compilation.

The CDR compilation is very good.  I threw the ITU compilation in the trash can!

As for Todd Barry, I prefer Falling Off the Bone and From Heaven, but so it goes.

Daly's Nine Sweaters is glorious; its omission from this list much less so.  Seems like that one has been flying a bit off the radar of some comedy observers. It should have replaced Hussein's Nerdy Rage.

Hippy Justice remains the best comedy album ever issued in any decade.

That's harsh - I like the ITU a lot (Glaser's bit alone is worth it). But the CDR compilation is a glaring omission. So much fun stuff going on there.

Would like to have seen Daly's on there too.

I hadn't heard Mr. Gould do standup before, but I listened to the album on Lala after reading the AV Club article. His delivery reminded me a LOT of Mr. F. Tompkins.

I'll still take Werewolves and Lollipops (by the slimmest of margins) over 222, but in any case it's good to see actual legit funny people get recognized. Hippy Justice is absolutely king-sized and I'm glad it made the list.

That said, ugh at the commenters. Especially the one who was all "you hipsters can't handle the real heavy shit, like Nick DiPaolo!" Better a hipster than someone who laughs at that Italo-cracker.

No Marc Maron?! Come on now.

Also, I wouldn't have included Flight Of The Conchords.

Big ups to Neil Hamburger!

Dana Gould is one of my all time favorites, and the only reason he isn't more well known is cause he went to write for the Simpsons. He's a goddamned genius.

Yes - why Invite Them Up and no CDR?  A disgrace!

Also, I fully support the inclusion of 222 over Feeling Kinda Patton. My co-host would disagree with me, I think.

It is a great list. I don't understand the inclusion of Naked Trucker & T-Bone, especially over Jim Gaffigan. The Neil Hamburger album is a good one, but it's not nearly as good as his set on the CDR collection. The early Hamburger is more funny bad/uncomfortable than the current funny/uncomfortable Hamburger.
