Spike is not like one of the characters form the soap operas he watches. He likes doo-wop, goes to work, rides the subway. He's like a fleshed out character from a short story.  It's too real for me AND I AM FREAKING OUT.

One way to look at it, Spike, is that absence makes the heart grow fonder.
