This is, like, my third post. But one of the reasons I needed to get on the FOT Forum (besides the fact that I have tons of free time at the moment and am chronically addicted to the archives) is that I really feel that Wally is the true protege. No disrespect to H-man, but I think he's got another path--to greatness, I know not. But it's something else. The name "Wackiman" belies this particular puppet's true nature. Like the truest of clowns (IMO), he is crying inside. This gives him an edge that Hman doesn't really seem to possess. Hman exudes a healthy adolescence, and an optimism that I find refreshing. And Hman seems so eager to step up to the plate that I really admire him. Beethoven said that the difference between the great composers and the good ones was "personality." I believe we are all mediums of our confused consciousness, and Wackiman is a conduit of some potency that transcends his inanimation. Tom in his grand wisdom has been putting Hman through a trial of fire that will probably make him a better person and fortify him into a true personality.
