I guess it's like a magnifying glass for older people to read their phones?

Golden.  So he assisted in creating the 'design' with the programmer.  Why isn't it the Syversonzoom?

Anyone remember "Lou's views".

Yeah. I love it when this happens. Some celebrity does nothing other than get paid for licensing their name to some unlikely product, and all of a sudden the news stories are "Lou Reed made an iPhone App!!"

Unlike Mickey Dolenz, who is down putting in the hours in his own workshop literally inventing his own products.

Was anyone else as shocked as I was that this Lou Reed app apparently has nothing to do with Tai Chi?
I'm warning you with peace and love.

Couldn't find a better place to put this;

"Lou Reed will be taking a dog walk on the wild side later this week, as the singer and his composer wife, Laurie Anderson, will be holding a high frequency recital for dogs and their human companions at the Sydney Opera House.

The ad for the show reads:

"Laurie Anderson has composed a 20 minute work especially for the hearing range of dogs – who can hear frequencies far outside the human audio spectrum. Taking the idea of the apparently inaudible dog whistle to new artistic heights, our canine friends will be treated to a glorious cacophony of sound, while all we will hear is the lapping of the water on the harbor. Aahh yes. Because if there's one thing that dogs love, it's a loud cacophany.

Also, I'm imagining what a pleasant place the Sidney Opera House must be when it's filled with dogs. I don't see what could possibly go wrong.

Apparently for King Khan and BBQ, some things went very, very wrong.

When I saw the subject, I was holding out hope that he'd put together an app that plays ten-minute clips of Metal Machine Music that you can't turn off or interrupt.
