i wasn't even gonna chime in here, but i think the threat to the best show is more based on job offers that would render the show undoable. the hating just makes the decision easier (as if it's really that difficult in the grand scheme of things. one has to do what one has to do for one's self.)

I started on AST way before coming here, I'm still active there.

I'm the first half, but not so much the second. I read the main page maybe once a week or so, but probably haven't logged in or posted anything at all this year. I make for a lousy community board member apparently.

Speaking of, I just remembered I still don't have my Jerkdock CD and Naked Comediennes calendar yet. Dang!

I like it, but some of the posters try way too hard to be funny. Constantly. Unfortunately, they aren't.


And it'd be too bad if the show ended. But if Tom found greener pastures and he's tired of the show, then I don't mind. He's put in what, 10 years of amazing, free entertainment? He deserves happiness, whatever that may be.

It seems pretty clear, just as you said. 
The elliptical nature of the posts just BEG for questions, though.  It's a great community here, and it's based around Tom and all that he does.  I don't know what board he was referring to, either.  Can't help but be a little concerned.

Threads like this are such a bummer. Why even talk about it? There will be plenty of time to be upset when the show actually does end. All this is just useless speculation and grosses me out.

It's hilarious listening to four year old shows in the archive and hearing Tom talk about shutting the show down. Ha!
