New Jon Benjamin show - Archer

Just saw a promo for a new animated show that's starting later tonight on FX, where the primary voice is provided by our old pal H. Jon Benjamin.

Promo looked funny enough, may be worth a shot?

They showed a preview episode of this a few months ago and it may have been the funniest TV show that Jon Benjamin has ever been involved with. I know that's a bold statement but check it out tonight and see.

I saw that preview episode and wasn't too impressed but I'm going to give it a shot because they've got some great voice talent for it.

Scratchbomb suggested on twitter and I gave it a shot and like it. It's no Home Movies, but it's good.

I love hearing Benjamin talk, when watching Human Giant with my exgirlfriend I shouted "Coach McGirk" during the to catch a predator clip. She thought I was insane. Maybe that is why we broke up? Because I can't watch anything without pointing out other things the actors have been in.

Yeah, Adam Reed (Frisky Dingo, Sealab 2021) is the creator of the show.

I watched both episodes that aired last night (in glorious HD!) and enjoyed myself. The first episode started off a little week, but part with the hooker had me laughing. The second episode, the one concernting Archer's expense account, was better though.

So I guess I'm on board for now. Great cast too.

It may be. I didn't see the preview episode. It had a great "just the tip" joke that had me cracking up for a long time.

The first episode was a bit weak, but the expense report one brought some more hearty laffs from me, especially with that joke.

The 2nd ep. was the fall preview ep. and the funnier of the two.

I'll have to see more episodes but you may be right this could be better than Frisky Dingo.
