As much as I don't care for much of Jamie Kennedy's work I think his Heckler documentary is mostly awesome and might have been less good if made by someone who doesn't suck so bad.

I've been very fortunate with the comedy shows that I've seen, but I still remember watching Eugene Mirman open for the Hold Steady years ago and he had to put up with some drunken idiots. He pulled it off quite well.

Also, I've never seen a better comedy audience than at the Paul F. Tompkins show at Largo. It's all class there!

Yeah, I hated him in those critic interviews, I think at a point it became too personal for HIM but I liked what the film said about hecklers and I like what everyone else in it said about critics. Criticism has become to matter-of-fact and hateful. I'd much rather read a review that was somewhat constructive rather than just a platform for scathing, sarcastic one-liners.
