Veni Dixi Vici
« on: February 17, 2010, 04:26:49 PM »
I really liked Tom's idea, last week, of having a crest that reads VENI DIXI VICI ("I came, I spoke, I conquered."). So I drew this:

I based it on the New Jersey State Seal.

What do you guys think?

As Tom would say: I don't like it...I LOVE IT!

Thanks Andrew and Will BeTheBoy! I hope Tom likes it. I think it looks quite majestic, personally.

If anyone wants a high-resolution version for printing and hanging up somewhere, let me know.

awesome!

I think for the marathon, Tom needs to set a goal amount which if reached results in him having to get this as a tattoo.

A tattoo of something I drew? I wouldn't wish that on anyone, even if they were a munch.

I just got it as a tattoo. I put it next to my tattoo of Tom saying he never wants anyone to get a Best Show tattoo which is right next to my tattoo of Mike getting a Best Show tattoo. Wow, my eyelid is really filling up.
You look like a really healthy Arthy Lang.

I'm praying that this is all photoshop.

Can you recreate the rest of the seal with AP Mike as the women on the sides?

Jason, I wanted to, but I'm not sure my art/Photoshop skills are up to the challenge. Maybe I'll try to work on that, though. One could be AP Mike and the other could be... Terre T?

Excellent work, Sara From Chicago. That would look great on a t-shirt.

This would be awesome as a Marathon sticker! Nice.

I just looked at NJ's seal, too. What is on the top of that stick on the left - a ski hat?

If this was before the showdown, it would have been H-Man and Wally.

Its a Liberty Cap you Socialist freedummy.  Crack a book on 18th/early 19th century political symbols whose names are now appropriated by psychedelic drugs much?  Doesn't sound like you do.
