My primary memory of talk boxes (aside from Frampton/Perry rule-age) is looking at them in guitar catalogs as a kid, and always seeing the following disclaimer:

Sorta makes one question the wisdom of borrowing one, eh?

Im assuming the answer is 'no' so far, so I will modify my request: does anybody know of any sort of toy/gadget that can replicate a talkbox/robot voice? I am open to any sort of toy store microphone thing.
